Essex Young People’s Orchestra is a youth orchestra of talented children from across Essex

This concert features extracts from West Side Story & Les Miserables plus pieces by American composer Aaron Copland, and Gustav Holst – a famous educator and composer who settled in Thaxted, and was born 150 years ago this September.

Essex Youth String Octet will also feature in this concert, who last year performed for Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla in Colchester’s Library as part of the Year of Celebration marking Colchester’s city status.
